The weather has decided to conspire against us but don't worry its only a blip!Walked through one of the Begonia crops last week, this year we have a grower in the South East and one in the West Midlands, plants are looking good although running a little late!
The trial varieties look promising, these will be assessed inside and outside in July, selections will be made and decisions as to how quickly we can produce a suitable quantity of mother stock (we produce all these varieties from cuttings) at the same time they will go to the lab for disease testing to ensure we start with the cleanest possible material.
